Here is my new poster. I have created this for World Development Movement, Global Justice Cinema. I work with them quite a lot and have produced both posters for the film nights. This one looks great! All about how the 2008 economic collapse was an orchestrated job from within the financial markets....interesting film, come along if you live in Bristol!

Whose Croft?

My documentary on Stokes Croft, Bristol. Where there is alot of debate about pro-development and no to gentrification of the area. I had a fantastic time making this, I have tried to use people from both sides of the argument for interviews, and used their opinions to counter argue their points. It was the first time I filmed a documentary, and I really enjoyed it.

A friend of mine runs a film and talk night in Stokes Croft, Bristol.  I have been designing his posters to promote that night. It is about food and social change in the developing world.

All Things Nice - Print

Here is my work! Finally got some photos done, not sure the light is the best, but at least I have got them up now!
I do really like these, even though there are  little inconsistencies, I like that about them. The brown/biege ones didn't come out best, but they were the first ones. The blues is probably my favourite! I will get these to niche and get them framed, ready to go on my Folksy or Etsy site, when i get a few more bits, so keep your eyes peeled for that and maybe you can buy one??

Letter Press

Ok folks, it has been a few days, but I have found a few minutes to put some posts up. I'm still trying to finish some pieces of my own work to put up. Im almost done on a motion piece and currently designing Wedding invitations for a friends and also Christening invitations for my sister. I'm hoping to do letter press on one of the - or both if i can convince them the cost is worth it!
But have a look at these beautiful pieces that I am feeling very inspired by Letterpress - Cirencester. I think I may contact them this summer to get over and see them & maybe even intern, if they will have me!

Illustration

Absolutely stunning illustrations by Georgina Luck I love this slightly sloppy/messy style it reminds me a little of my style of painting, when I do portraits, rather than characters. But it is also similar to David Downton

Beautiful paackaging!

Some very beautiful packaging here, in a delicate vintage style. I found this onThe Dieline where they were featuring this designer Jack Russell Designs He has a lot of lovely things on his website, so check it out if you like packaging!

My branding!

This was a project on creating myself as a company, and with my surname being dutch, I decided to look at dutch typography. The likes of Wim Crouwel and other bauhaus style. And then make a more modern interpretation for my fictional branding.

Packaging!

I have come across this packaging on www.thedieline.com
They are a packaging blog, but there is some amazing designs and products, I love it.

Bake Day!

So today has been a baking and cooking day! It's been awhile since I've done a batch of baking/cooking. I thought I was going to have a friend visit, so it was in kind of preparation for that, unfortunately in the end she had to cancel, but to be honest I enjoyed the excuse of having to be in the kitchen!

So I made fresh herb bread roles, a brocclli and Gorgonzola soup - this was because I had 2 left over stalks and a full brocclli head, and I hate throwing those stalks away, they are so tasty!

Then I baked a Ginger bread loaf and Christmas cookies, these are the christmas cookies I have been trying to perfect since September, this is by far the best batch, but I will keep tweeking, as maybe one day that little cafe dream will become a reality, and then my christmas cookies will be perfect!

Do something!

So today, I have to actually get some work done! As I didn't get much done yesterday. Received several phone calls in a row, which in turn put my plans for the day out! Yes a poor excuse, but it wasn't the nicest day, so occasionally it is ok to stay in. I had managed to get in a run of 3.7 miles, and find a possible new climbing partner. Both of which I am trying to get back into. I have signed up for the Calne 10k on feb 13th, so I have to get fit. I will keep you updated as to how I am getting on.

Type & Motion!

Here is a short motion piece, that I love! I have looked to see if I can find out who made it, which design agency, but i can't find out. So if anyone knows, please post a comment?
But the ink and the type is really lovely, its a very beautiful piece of work!

I have really loved his work for a long time, and as this is the begining of my  Blog, I thought I would post up a few of my old time favourites. I'm sure a lot of people have seen his work, or already know about him, but anyone who doesn't will really like it, I hope!
